Privacy Policy — Doodle Escape
Last updated: 2026-10-02
Introduction
Maivika ("we") publishes the hand-drawn runner Doodle Escape for iOS and Android. This policy explains what data is collected and how it is handled when you play Doodle Escape. The game has no accounts, needs no sign-in and runs no server of its own that stores your data.
Data saved on your device
Your page progress, collected ink marks, Ink balance, outfits, revive tickets, the "Remove ads" status and your settings (sound, vibration, usage stats) are saved LOCALLY on your device only. This data is never sent to us and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob: a banner outside gameplay, an occasional full-screen ad between pages, and optional rewarded videos you choose to watch (for a revive or double Ink). There are never ads while you are running.
AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising identifier/IDFA), approximate location derived from your IP address, and ad interaction and diagnostic data to serve, measure and frequency-cap ads and to prevent fraud. How Google uses data: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Where required by law (e.g. EU/UK), you are asked for consent through Google's consent form. On iOS, the game asks for tracking permission through App Tracking Transparency; if you decline, ads are not personalised with your identifier.
Buying "Remove ads" turns off banner and full-screen ads. Rewarded videos remain optional.
Crash reports and anonymous usage statistics (Google Firebase)
To fix crashes and see which pages are too hard, the game can send crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) and anonymous gameplay events (Firebase Analytics), for example "page 12 started", "page 12 lost", "revive used", "shop opened", "purchase completed".
These contain no name, e-mail or account. Firebase uses an app-instance identifier, device model, OS version, country derived from IP, and crash diagnostics.
You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Share anonymous usage stats. In regions where consent is required it stays off until you agree. How Google handles Firebase data: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
In-app purchases
Purchases are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive or store your payment details; the app only receives a confirmation of what you bought so it can unlock and restore it (Restore purchases).
Third parties
Google AdMob (advertising), Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (anonymous statistics, crash reports), Apple App Store / Google Play (payments).
We do not sell your personal data.
Data retention & deletion
Uninstalling the app removes all data stored on your device.
Crash reports and statistics are retained by Google under Firebase's policies. You can stop sending them by turning off "Share anonymous usage stats", and you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.
For any data request, email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.
Children
The game is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Your rights
Depending on your region (e.g. EU/EEA under GDPR, California under CCPA), you have the right to access, correct and delete your data, and to opt out of personalised ads. Contact [email protected] to exercise these rights.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always posted on this page with its update date.
