Maivika ("we", "us") provides a web and mobile application that casts Plum Blossom I-Ching hexagrams with AI-assisted interpretation, for cultural, entertainment, and self-reflection purposes. This policy explains what data we collect and how we handle it when you use the web (maivika.com) or the Maivika mobile app.

Account information: when you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, display name, and profile picture from your Google account.

Reading content: the questions you enter, the resulting hexagrams, and their AI interpretations are saved to your history.

Usage & crash data: anonymous analytics (Firebase Analytics) and crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) to improve the app.

Payments: transactions are processed by Apple App Store, Google Play, or Lemon Squeezy. We do NOT store card details; we only receive your plan status and expiry.

To provide the service: authenticate your account, compute hexagrams, and generate interpretations.

To generate interpretations, your hexagram data and question are sent to a third-party AI model provider that produces the response text.

To manage your subscription and entitlements (synced across web and mobile).

For anonymous analytics and crash diagnostics to improve quality.

Google (sign-in, Analytics, Crashlytics).

AI provider (generates interpretations from your hexagram data + question).

Payment processors: Apple, Google, Lemon Squeezy.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Account data and reading history are retained until you request deletion.

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing [email protected]. We will process requests within 30 days.

The service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We apply reasonable measures to protect your data (encryption in transit, secure token storage). However, no system is completely secure.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with its update date.
